The artist owned this beautiful deco rattan-backed chair for over twenty years. It was time for the seat to have a makeover. He photographed one of his abstract paintings and had it printed onto a heavy cotton-linen fabric. The loose shapes of the fabric complement the formality of the rattan, reminiscent of the tightly constructed shapes of Islamic design.
