Half-round Cat Chair
Long-term friends of the artist, who love all things Cat, were looking for a set of dining-room chairs. They already had one of Pinchuck'scat cushions, which gave them the idea of using the design on the seats of the chairs. Having completed that commission, the artist went on to design another cat fabric for this half-round chair. The colours of the fabric suggested that the woodwork should also be decorated, which was done with a mixture of chalk paint, acrylics and gilder’s paste. To finish it off, the seat and the frame was waxed and buffed up to a gleaming semi-gloss.
